Man arrested for alleged home invasion
AUBURN TWP. (WJER) (July 2, 2024) – It was a frightening situation for a Sugarcreek area woman and her family Monday night.
Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s call records indicate the mother and her five children had to hide behind a locked door when an unknown male entered her home and made it to the second floor. This happened along Old Zimmerman Rd SW at about 8 p.m.
A responding deputy located a vehicle and a suspect matching the description given by the woman. The call log says she then positively identified the suspect, a 33-year-old Newcomerstown area man, who was arrested for burglary and operating a vehicle while impaired.
The Tuscarawas County Jail roster shows Justin M. Heston was booked there just before 10:30 p.m. on those charges.
